This month we have the fabulous fabric from Aquatic Paradise collection by Dashwood studios and we are making these amazing travel sets.. all ready for your Summer Holidays..
My Guilty Pleasure box was delivered through my door, beautifully packed and with an Aquatic theme.. including the shark shaped sweet!!
Let's jump right to the sew.. so I instantly knew that I wanted to make a travel set (passport cover and luggage tag) for my parents as they have finally booked a holiday to Menorca (so excited for them)
The instructions were clear and interfacing was all included. I quickly cut out the pieces I needed and was soon on my way with sewing.
This was a fiddly project at times so I had to be patient and take my time. I did make a few errors yet they were easily corrected and taught me to check what is actually written on the instructions instead of steaming ahead!
These boxes would easily suit a beginner and it's a great way to start.. (fabric, pattern, instructions and all haberdashery included) however they would also suit those who have been sewing a while.. this project was more challenging than the last so you definitely have variety in your monthly boxes!
The great thing about having a Subscription you have fabric left over.. so I actually decided not to use the Aquatic fat quarters supplied this month.. I used some left over fabric from my previous boxes that I felt would suit my Mum and Dad better (as the sets were to be gifted) and this was definitely a great project for using those scrap pieces.
The passport holder was easier than the luggage tag however I'm super pleased with the results.. and how perfect is this.. they even supplied the address label for the luggage tag.. extremely well thought out: thank you LMSNS
For me this month was the perfect sew for a gift... all delivered and gorgeously presented so that was like a gift for me too!!! I'm totally hooked! See you next Month.
